Ah well, I guess that means it's time for some movie reviews.
Curse of the Golden Flower - fabulous set and costumes! I would love to have been the artistic director on that production. Full permission to go nuts and use as much gold as possible without blinding the audience! Fabulous. However, it all got a bit horrible and gory towards the end and it ended completely wrong. Maybe 3 stars.

Reason #24 Why It Sucks To Be Single: No strong arms to hide in during the scary bits in a movie.
Pan's Labyrinth - Very, very scary! Very very gory! But, very very good! (Even though I think I spent a good half of it hiding behind my hands). That handy eye dude is going to give me nightmares for years!

Driving Lessons - I had to wait to take my Mum to this one, and she loved it. She didn't understand the naughty jokes though, which I always find highly amusing! Julie Walters is just great and her character, Dame Evie, is exactly the type of eccentric old retired actress I intend to be one day! Although perhaps with less booze and less swearing!
Extremely funny. Two rather good quotes worth remembering:
* "It's alright. Tell God I forced you."
* "I want you to stay away from that wicked woman!"
"She's not wicked!"
"She's an actress!"
Love it. Rather true too, I have to admit.

Although actors are worse. I see in the paper that Kirsten Dunst has sworn off actors, saying they make lousy boyfriends. Now, as much as I can't stand that silly, twitty, little tart, I have to agree wholeheartedly with her on this one. They do. Have been involved with three actors in my life, and all three have ended up hurting me. So for the third time in my life I am swearing off actors. This time however, I mean it!
And a dvd review - Touch of Pink - very funny film about a young gay Indian man, his English boyfrined and his mother who has no idea he's gay and goes to visit him in England to make him get married. Oh, and he is guided in life by the spirit of Mr. Cary. Grant!!!!!!!!! Played brilliantly by Kyle MacLachlan. Hmm.....I wonder if he's single........

No! Bad! No more actors!
I and I'm sure you, will be relieved to know that at least I haven't yet started talking to Cary, even though Mum reckons he's my guardian angel and looks after me. Hehe!Oh, and in other news, I auditioned for a vampire film the other day!

Kyle McLachlan is sooo cool. Have you seen Twin Peaks? Agent Cooper is his best role.
