The Illusionist

Not as good as The Prestige I thought, still watchable though. The 'twist' was once again pretty obvious. The butterflies were tres cool, but am not sure about the need for a bonking scene. Now, I may be underestimating the sluttiness of young unmarried duchesses of the 19th century, but I'm pretty sure they wouldn't even know what sex was until the day of their wedding, let alone go off and shag your long lost childhood sweetheart silly! Was totally unnecessary and historically inaccurate I thought. (But I have to admit, beautifully done).

Speaking of historical accuracy, did anyone see Henry VIII on TV1 last night? Talk about a game of count the errors!

I don't like Jessica Biel; this was cemented even further when she kept saying "would of" instead of "would have". Don't they have dialogue coaches on set?!
Ed Norton looked pretty yummy though. I definately should have been alive a couple of centuries ago when men looked like that. You can have Johnny Depp, I think he's fugly! Give me a well groomed man in a nice suit any day!

Oh yes, and the costumes. Delicious. Yes, I could very easily have been a Vienneses duchess in a past life; waltzing to Strauss, lunching in tea rooms, attending the theatre and wearing gorgeous gowns. Now that's what I call a life!

Was quite annoyed when a group of old ladies walked in, talking at the top of their voices and kept going all the way through the trailers. I thought they would go on through the film as well, which really annoys me, but they didn't. They fell asleep and snored instead! lol
