My regular readers will remember that for my birthday I was originally planning to get a group together to go see the stage show Priscilla Queen of the Desert, but it never happened.
Well, the other morning I was whisked away up to Auckland to see it, by a fabulous group of ladies!
So much fun, possibly one of the best birthday presents - and the best shows I've seen - ever!
If you get a chance to see it, definately go!

Men in dresses are usually fabulous and hilarious. The same can't be said for Mummy's Boys.
I got dumped by Bevan the other night. And I'm pretty sure it's because his Mummy told him too.
Am not heartbroken or upset....the ego is slightly bruised though. His loss anyway.
Am giving up on men for awhile. They're just not worth all the grief. The sods.
Except for George Clooney, who is my current fixation.
Nat and I saw Leatherheads the other.....I've already reviewed this haven't I? Anyway, she has very kindly lent me season one of ER to watch, and I'm loving it. Dr George. MMMmmmmm. Yummy!
Now, what else have I seen?
Second Hand Wedding - greta Kiwi film. Going to take my Mum to it before it closes. Geraldine Brophy is one of my favourite NZ actresses and I had the pleasure of meeting her after a performance at the uni one year (one of the perks of being a Hillary Scholar).
Quirky, sweet and oh so Kiwi. Go see it!
Happy Go Lucky - I was mesmerised by the trailer for this, and thought I have to see this impossibly silly film! I'm undecided if I will buy it on dvd when it's out...but I would quite happilly see it again. Lots of fun. And "en-rah-hah" is now on my mind every time I drive!
In other news, I didn't get the travel agent job....they replied by email saying that I sounded just like what they were looking for....but not this time sorry. I think they must have already chosen the intervieww candidates just before I applied, so I was a little bummed. However, yesterday the ad was relisted, so I intend to harrass them until they give me the job!
Wish me luck!
