Can't think of a catchy title so this'll have to do!

So, my resolution to keep my blog more up to date isn't working out so well, huh? Sorry, loyal readers! My life is just a little too blah for the most part - despite the suspected bipolar and unrequited love affair!

Yes, folks, I switched on Oprah yesterday arvo after spending the last few weeks in tears and getting upset over very trivial things and losing my temper at my poor wee bunbun and made a rather shocking discovery.
Now, I have known for years that I have depression, but listening to the stories of the guests on Oprah, I heard a lot of my own experiences. So, I jumped online to do a bit more research, and folks, it looks like a very strong possibility. Will be off to the doctor after next payday to try and find out for sure.
Although, I am very scared, I am also a little relieved, as this could mean that I am not just a highly strung, emotional wreck who takes things to heart way to easilly. It makes things a little more bearable anyway.
I also owe God a HUGE apology. The last few months I felt like He had really abandoned me, and I really let Him have it when things got really rough and I got really mad over the raw deal life was giving me. Turns out, I think I now understand why He has made things a litte tricky: I've been running the gamut of emotions lately and experiencing nearly everything contributed to bipolar disorder, and had I not gone through this, I would not have made the connection yesterday, wtaching tv and I would not have been urged to do something about it. He sure does move in some darned mysterious ways!
I don't think my illness is too bad though, so I don't want anyone to worry. I'm not about to start doing manic things like poor messed up Britney......I hope! ("What Britney Spears has got" is also how I chose to explain bipolar disorder to Mum.....possibly not such a good move)! I do however want to talk about it openly, because I think that is the best way to approach it. I don't feel ashamed of anything, and it may help someone else out there be able to deal with it better or be encouraged to seek help.

Still trying to figure out why God isn't keen on me going to Caryvention next year though. Gloria is stuffed (that's my car by the way) and so tonight I have to fork out nearly $1500 to the mechanics. Am not happy! I bought this car because it is supposed to be one of the most reliable around. Both times that I have had to call out the AA, the guys have been shocked that I have had trouble with her.
Stupid cars. We need to go back to all riding horses instead! Or donkeys. I like donkeys.

Oh yeah, can't really blame God for this, but my teeth are also stuffed. Possibly due to the fact that I haven't been to the dentist since third form. Yes, dentists are another of my many, many....many phobias.
So, the other week I was eating a pineapple lump...mmmmmmm.......and a quarter of my back molar fell out!
I didn't really have any choice but to suck it up and make an appointment. I was shaking the entire time, and the dentist and his assistant spent most of the time trying to keep me calm. My first ever filling. Not pleasant. But I am proud of myself for being able to endure it.
Am not so proud of myself for chickening out of my root canal appointment the following week!
I consulted the good people of the TradeMe message board (as you do) and heard some real horror stories. And everyone advised me to get it pulled instead. At present I am still considering my options. Luckilly for me, the tooth is giving me no pain. I didn't even know there was anything wrong with it, much to the amazement of the dentist who told me I should be in absolute agony considering how unbelievably bad it is!
I am possibly the biggest baby that ever existed!

The other night the MOMD and I went to see Marilyn: Forever Blonde at the Bruce Mason Theatre. A one woman show set during the infamous photo shoot just before she died. (Those of you unfamiliar with Marilyn, may be more familiar with the recent photo shoot Lindsay Lohan did. That was based on this shoot). It was a production from the USA and I loved it. We had fab seats and it was fun being out with a man who kept pointing out how hideous most of the women in the audience looked. (North Shore 'high society' wearing ugly designer pieces very badly, and generally looking a lot like mutton)!
Sunny Thompson who played Marilyn was a bit too skinny, but had her voice down pretty good, except for her singing, which she completely lost in Act II. The costumes were FABULOUS, particularly the dress she wore to sing "Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend" and the set and lighting were pretty impressive too. (Being a theatre nerd from Nam, I tend to take note of these things)!
The script was made up of Marilyn's own words - most of which were pretty hilarious. She really was a smart cookie, for what people may think of her.
Anyway, if you get the chance, please go and see it, if you're a fan or not. (And most of the tarts in the audience were definately not fans. You could tell that they were there, simply because it was the sort of thing they should be seen at). Am very pleased at how I looked in my $20 dress and sale shoes, compared with their hideous haute couture!

A quick rundown on some films I have seen lately (am doing very well with this resolution so far):

Jumper: I was bored so saw this very un-Janine film. Could have been done better. No likeable characters and pretty run of the mill. Started doing an Amelie and watching peoples' faces in the dark instead about half way through.

Fool's Gold: Best bit about this film was that the villain didn't sit behond his desk stroking a big, furry kitty cat....he had a big, furry bunny instead! Yay for bunnies!

P.S I Love You: Can understand how that guy at Hoyts fell asleep. It could have been shorter and faster paced. Was expecting better, but it's still a good chick flick to see on a rainy day. And Hilary Swank's character Holly, had a shoe and classic movie fetish to rival mine! (Well, nearly)! Mum and I also decided that if I still hadn't found a man when I'm back from the USA, we're going on a manhunt to Ireland. I have convinced her that Irish accents are the sexiest in the world.

The Other Boleyn Girl: I knew this would be bad. I expected it to be bad and completely historically inaccurate - so I actually enjoyed it! The costumes were fab and there is some good acting in it, but don't go in looking at it as an account of facts or you'll -probably give yourself a hernia! Look at it as a fun period drama about people who are soap opera characters rather than historical figures and you'll have a ball!

Lars and the Real Girl: I print tested this the other morning and found that watching a film at 8:30am is a very good way to start one's day. Particularly a working day!
I had seen the doco on late night tv about some guys in the USA who have real dolls as their girlfriends because they can't find a real woman, and I found it extremely sad, but also extremely disturbing. For this reason I wasn't sure quite what to expect from this, but it was surprisingly sweet, funny and sad. I loved it! 5 stars and I want you all to see it....when it actually opens!

LilyBelle update: Had to buy a new phone charger this morning coz something white, fluffy and very cute ate my old one.

List of things the little madame has eaten:
* Carpet
* Netting on my security door
* MP4 headphones....twice
* Toilet brush (excuse me while I vomit)
* Shoes
* Edges of my handbags
* Receipts she has taken out of my handbag
* The brush I sweep up her stray droppings with (more vomit)
* Fleecey blanket
* All the tags from my Beanie Babies
* Cover from a Mozart CD
* Sofa
* Cushions
* Porcelein doll's hair
* Stuff from the rubbish bin (I wake up and find her sitting in it)
* Tampons (she actually got them out of the box AND the plastic?!
* Bras that have fallen onto the laundry floor (she really is kinky)
* The on/off button on the tv remote (she couldn't eat a button I don't use)!
* Books (she likes art books and Heidi)
* The gib board on the back of a cabinet (free sawdust anyone)?
* Fairy wings (the day before I had a party too)!
* And my toes. Have had to cancel the hospital visit since she has started biting again. I don't want her nibbling on the wee kiddies!

It seems my bunny-proofing is never done! But she is so, so cute.
