So a lot of theatre folk have their little traditions that they like to envoke every time they do a show. I get that. But laryngitus?! Yup. Am sick. Again! Grizzle! Am not 100% it's lary, but it sure feels like it. On the brighter side, I do tend to find my vocal range goes up an octave every time I have lary. But I hate being sick. People (read: customers) are always really mean when you're sick too; "Can you speak up?" "NO! I have no voice you moron! Now go and be stupid somewhere else!"
What else can I grizzle about?
After getting all excited about the prospect of going to see The Flying Tsars Russian Dance Company, I know find out that the cast will probably be stuck at tech rehearsal. Gutted.
I had better make it to see Fiddler in Auckland or I will be extremely grumpy!
Wilbur Smith's new book sucks. I spent my tap fees on nothing. His other books have all caught my attention straight away and had been polished off in two sittings, but I am still not even halfway through The Quest. And I am becoming increasingly suspicious that this book does not contain a love story of any sort. How can I be expected to read a book without a romance?! It's just not possible. It's like an ice cream sundae without the cherry. Or the chocolate sauce.
Oh, and someone outbid me on a gorgeously ugly pair of 1950s sunglasses on Trademe. you know the ones with that sort of taper out into a point at the ends and have a line of diamantes along the tops of the frames? Gutted.
My throat really hurts.
And I need a hug :(
