Tweeties, Wendy's and Hugh Jackman's bod!

Last night Nat, Jess, Sean and I went up to Aucks to do Rialto proud in the Skycity Tweeties pub quiz night.
We ended up coming a respectable 7th out of 13. So, right in the middle. At least we weren't last, right?!
Congrats to Chartwell and Centreplace who got 2nd and 3rd....although we should point out that the star players from each were originally Rialtrons, so i think we can pinch a bit of credit there too!
Was dissapointed by the lack of classic film q's, but I did earn my keep by answering:

Which ACTOR said "Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn" ?

And, who holds the record for most Oscar WINS?

Any ideas?

Anyway, we all got prizes which was pretty cool. Nat and I were stoked to still find copies of the Scoop dvd left on the table when it was our turn to go up. Mmmmmmmm....Hugh Jackman in swimming trunks.......
I find it amusing that people seem to forget what a weirdo I am when they are drunk; I actually like my Celtic Woman cd, thank you very much!

A quick stop at Wendy's Wendy's YUM! for dinner, then back to the Tron.

I think living alone and having no one to call when things go bump in the night has toughened me up a bit.
We got to Taupiri mountain with the freaky cemetary lights that look like eyes and Nat decided to tell me about the freaky ghost sighting up in proj yesterday. Someone walked past the camera when there was no one up there.
Great. Am proj/management tomorrow night.
But once I would have been freaking out when I got home late at night, with a scary ghost story ringing in my ears, but last night I was serenely calm and hopped into bed and turned out the light, no problem.
I also watched a really stupid werewolf movie late the other night and didn't get scared, when normally I get scared of anything with the slightest hint of something sinister.
Am quite proud of myself really.

And in a completely unrelated rant.....men suck.

(I don't believe in the Rialto ghost ...)

Oh yes, that's perfectly valid!
And thanks for the 'star player' bit, hee hee!

Yes, this year the questions seemed to be heavily skewed to the mainstream. My memory may well be faulty, but I thought that in previous years there were more art house questions.
Thanks goodness we had Tu covering the boys' action flicks!

Heh, heh! That is rather funny--the first bit, I mean.
I'd actually like to listen to your Celtic Woman CD. ;)

Clark Gable... oh, Rhett :)

I'm about 90% sure this is Kate Hepburn.

How'd I do?

Leigh - said hello to Fred for you ; so far he hasn't responded....which is good! :)

April - although I'm not 100% sure I do believe in ghosts, I think it's rather romantic to have a cinema ghost...especially when things go bump and we can't explain them!
Will bring in my Celtic Woman cd and season 2 of Gilmore Girls if you are interested :)

Jenni - 100%; just as I expected! :)

For further on the ghost, see my comment in the Bebo poll.

Yes, I am interested in watching Season 2 of Gilmore Girls. That's what I meant to tell you as I gave you back the first season and was rudely interrupted at April's afternoon tea ... and then I was rude and distracted and didn't get back to you ... :( Sorry.

Sorry for freaking you out. I don't think that the ghost is evil though, if that helps. There's been no poltergeist activity - just weird happenings, and for some reason, usually when I'm on shift.

I wish I could attach a pic of Hugh Jackman to my comment. A friend of mine emailed a scrummy one to me yesterday. I will instead put it on my blog for you to see.
