Stumbled across this little website the other day, while researching a possible new lifestyle choice.
Yup, am thinking about abandoning the modern world for good and becoming my own brand of "Rockabilly".
Basically transport myself back to the 1950s where I belong, and start dressing the part!
With the help of this webstore:

Methinks I may need to sell a few more pairs of shoes if I am to afford some of these dresses!
By the way, if you head over to Wikipeadia like I did to research, I'll let you know now that I'm not going to go out and get all tattoed! Ouchies!

i could see you in most of the dresses i just saw.
My book came on Saturday and it is just a great as i imagined it and it is all thanks to you!!!
Rockabilly? Without all the crazy tattoos and piercings, rockabilly clothes are awesome... I'm not a fan of the facial piercings and arm and leg tattoos that a lot of rockabilly girls have, though. I just can't picture Audrey Hepburn or Marilyn Monroe with a nose or eyebrow ring.
I don't know how good your vintage hairstyling skills are, but if you're looking for hair inspiration, there's an amazing community on Livejournal that has tutorials and pictures of vintage styles. It's at: http://community.livejournal.com/vintagehair/. You don't have to actually be an LJ member to view it; most of the posts are open to general viewing. I'm a total fuckwit when it comes to hairstyling, but they make vintage really simple there.
Ooh thanks for that Jenni! Am good at doing others peoples hair, but not so much my own.
Yeah, I don't get the tattoo and piercing thing. It just looks ugly and does not go with the era.
Janine, darling... I'm bored at work... please update and entertain me :)
