So, the whole "I'm happy being single" thing is going really well. I'm shocked!
It helps that anti depressants kill your sex drive and I am making an effort to see as much of my lovely friends as possible.
Such as last Saturday when Cavegirl, Elfy and I FINALLY went ice skating!
You may remember my post after my last ice skating attempt when I blamed my inability to skate on the skates....I am pleased to announce that....I WAS RIGHT! I shelled out an extra $4 and got some Platinum skates and was instantly transformed into Michelle Kwan.....well, not quite, but I was pretty darn good!
I'm also planning to go up to Auckland to stay the weekend with my friend Gabbie a.k.a Fairy Rosebud and go to some parties with her. Good fun and hopefully I'll get some fab ideas.
I would love for my parties to really take off so that I could become a fulltime fairy like some of my pals overseas; especially since the job hunting is not going all that well.
I am contemplating doing a stint on a cruise ship, looking after the kiddies or something. Just for 6 months. Would be a great experience.
But in the meanwhile, I am trying to make the most of all the free perks a cinema duty manager gets. Not difficult since we have brought in hokey pokey and passionfruit choctops....drool......
I saw Prince Caspian the other day, I was pretty disappointed. Mainly because it was full of battle scenes which doesn't appeal, but it also just didn't grab me. None of the characters were particularly likeable either, except Lucy (of course) and the dear little mouse.
It's been awhile since I read the book, but I'm also pretty sure it was VERY different!
Good CGI and stuff though, if that's your thing.
Kung Fu Panda, on the other hand was pretty cool. I'm slowly warming to Jack Black. He started off just doing silly films, but he's done some good ones lately, and he makes a very good panda bear!
Gorgeous animation of China's scenery, and it was a good, clean, fun kiddies film....well except for the obvious kung fu action of course!
There isn't too much coming up that I'm particulaly excited about seeing, with the exception of Mamma Mia! I will certainly be at the very first showing of that one! Woohoo!

I only heard about the Mamma Mia movie when I saw a preview of it before Sex and the City - so I was doubly excited! I LOVE Mamma Mia. And Colin Firth as Harry? I love it! (Though am slightly disappointed that he seems to be aging into a portly, balding kind of guy. He was so cute in Bridget Jones' Diary!!)
