"I'm getting out. I'm moving house. I'm going away....Oh bright new day!"

Only 5 points for guessing the musical this is from because I know April has this one in the bag!
Very disappointing lack of guessing with the last quote, which was of course spoken by Katharine Hepburn having survived a run down the rapids in a small boat in The African Queen.

Anywho. My blog has been forsaken as of late due to the craziness that is moving house and job hunting.

No job as yet. :(

But I have a fabulous new granny flat in Te Awamutu that I will be moving into shortly. The orginal date was the 11th of August, but the new tenant moving into my place wants to move in sooner, and I would quite like to move out asap, so will be talking to my landlord and see when I can move. EXCITING!

It is in a lovely, very safe looking street and is stunning. It was built by my LL for herself, but she now lives next door. It has a sizeable lounge with a lovely view. A big bedroom with pink drapes (squeal), a fabulous cake making kitchen with a big pantry and a little office to store all my fairy supplies in.

This place also has a lovely little garden which I can fence off and let Lily of the Belly run around in, and a carport. Yay, no more bird poop covered car!
Am very, very excited, but boy, is it stressful!
And how did I end up with so much stuff! I just had a huge clear out and still, I am no where near done with packing even though there are full boxes everywhere!

Miss Belle is very upset with all the strange activity. She gets very scared when I'm packing and she does not leave my side anymore. Even if I only get up to change the tv channel or something, she's right there! Poor little poppet.

Yeah, so that's all that's been happening lately. I'm really getting stressed about my lack of new employment, so something had better come up soon, as I have no intention of being an unemployed bum.

Oh yes, current Mamma Mia viewing tally = 6.

"I never dreamt that a mere physical experience could be so exhilerating!"

(10 points to the person who guesses the movie that quote's from).

Anyway, I had a real religious experience yesterday afternoon at the long awaited (by me) first screening of Mamma Mia!

FABULOUS!

I sat there grinning the entire way through, and actually felt a little giddy with excitement every time a song started. I do that every time I hear an ABBA song, but never thought that the covers in the film would be so good! ABBA is such a hard band to cover well, but the cast all did it. Meryl Streep - Oh my goodness! I never knew she had it in her! Apparently she impressed Benny Andersson by getting "The Winner Takes It All" in a single take.
Pierce Brosnan on the other hand....yummy to look at, but who let him sing?!
Julie Walters and Christine Baranski were great fun as the comic relief, loved them!
Amanda Seyfried was gorgeous, and I will state quite clearly here and now that I am insanely jealous of her breasts! Haha! But it's true, I am.

Dancing - fabulous.
Scenery - fabulous.
Script - fabulous.
Casting - fabulous.
Story - surprisingly fabulous.
The bit at the end - hilariously fabulous!
The cameo appearance by Benny and Bjorn at the end - STUPENDOUS!

I'm going again tonight, and then possibly once a week for the rest of the season.

This is my new Hairspray.

I have been waiting for this film for over a year, and how glad I am that it lived up to...and actually superceeded my expectations!

Mamma Mia! how can I resist you?!

In other news, still job hunting. This sucks.
Am also house hunting.
People have convinced me that I should move.
I have also been convinced not to live in Huntly, a.k.a crime central.
I have convinced myself however that I belong in a little country cottage, so am off to look at a place in Tirau this weekend.

Oh yeah....if you hadn't guessed how much I loved Mamma Mia! I actually stayed till the end of the credits.....and I HATE people who do that! However, as a loyal fan, I could not possibly leave a room while an ABBA song is playing! That would be blasphemous!

And yes, I was singing along quietly to myself the whole way through!

CHAAAAAAAAARGE!!!!!!!!!

(Shelley and Amber, that's for you, hehe)!

So. Anyone remember in Sex and the City when Charlotte wanted to convert to Judaism and they kept saying no and Harry said it was a test to see how serious she was about it?
Well, I've decided it's the same with Flight Centre.
They have relisted the job vacancy fot the fourth time.
Tomorrow I am going to actually go in and talk to someone and see how on earth one gets a position....or even just an interview there!

If not, then I am thinking very seriously about how I can make the fairy business full time. Fairy Sarah in Melbourne is full time and says she could and should have done it a lot sooner.
The bookings are starting to come in steadily again which is fabulous. Just got another booking this morning.

I figure I can do some more advertising, including getting my car screenprinted or something. Tiger Wrap in Hamilton has some very reasonable fees for getting some vehicle wrapping done. They even design it for you.

How cool would it be to just be a fairy fulltime?!

"So, Janine. What do you do?"
"Oh, I'm a fairy."

Fabulous!

Anyone know of a big bulky bodyguard for hire?

The scumbags tried to break into my house again Thursday night.
Fortunately, I have had security latches fitted on to ALL of my windows since the last break in, so you can now only open them about 3". They did manage to get both of the window handles off though.

My poor wee bunbun, I didn't realise why she was so skittery the next morning, until I found the damaged window.

Police are at my place dusting for prints....again....but since they didn't get inside, I doubt they'll find anything.

Did I mention I was asleep in bed when this all happened?

Mum's mate is hooking me up with a discount for some of those motion sensor security lights.....which my landlords have decided to pay for......but am still quite freaked out!

However, I love my place too much, and will not be forced out that easilly!
