Move over Peter Rabbit

Anyone who grew up with Beatrix Potter's books, will know that Peter Rabbit was notorious for getting himself in trouble and having all sorts of naughty adventures.
Well now there's a new naughty bunny in town, and her name is LilyBelle.

She will be 2 months old tomorrow and I have had her for 2 weeks yesterday, hence I have decided that she has reached the 'terrible twos' stage.

I experienced every parents nightmare the other day when Aunty Shelley and Aunty Amber came to visit the new arrival and I could not find her. We spent the next hour or so tearing my house apart and crawling around in the dirt with a torch looking under the house. No bunny. By this time I was bawling my eyes out and ready to turn myself into the SPCA for bad parenting.

So, just when the Shambles left, I went into the bathroom to blow my nose and who should come hopping out of the laundry room covered in dirt, but my little LilyBelle who was then smothered in Aunty and Mummy cuddles.
Apparently behind the washing machine is a very good place for bunnies to have adventures!

Then I spent last night bunny proofing the house some more. Little Miss has learnt to jump onto shelves and push all Mum's pretty breakable ornaments to the floor. Not cutie cutie. Ok, maybe a little cutie cutie, especially when she peeks out at me and seems to be saying, "Look what I can do! Aren't I clever?!"

As you can tell, I love my little girl very much and can spend hours watching her race around the living room doing some spectacular gymnastic jumps and flips and giving her cuddles (when she'll let me)!
The constant toe licking is tickling a little less now, but the occassional nips still hurt! Ouch!

Toilet training is improving, although I have had to remove all my shoes from sight. Apparently they make a very comfy potty! LilyBelle definately has a foot fetish!

Oh, and all the special bunny treats I spent money on are apparently not very tasty at all. Hmm.
Not to mention her lovely two story rabbit hutch which I spent an afternoon painting pink, and turning red in the sun in the process. She spent the first couple of nights in there, and then as she got used to being inside, she was not at all happy when she was put back in there the third time. And big softie that I am, I have let her stay indoors permanently now.

Happy New Year!

Hope your new year has been off to a better start than mine - I had to work yesterday and everything that could possibly go wrong, did. Was not impressed!

So, time to set out some resolutions, but first let's see how well I did on last year's goals and ambitions:

2007 New Year Resolutions:

* Get full license after 5 years on my restricted. (Nope. Have readded it to this year's list though)!

* Find a man who won't cheat on me. Just for a change. (Sigh. Nope).

* Tone up tummy so I can.... (Ha)!

* Get belly button pierced. (Have chickened out and decided against the idea).

* Start saving for my Italy trip. (Now saving for USA trip instead).

* Get dvd collection up to my former video collection's standard. (Getting there - not helping with the above resolution though)!

* Get all 72 of Cary's films on dvd. Only 61 to go. Dammit. (Now have 24 / 72).

* Work my way through the Kama Sutra ;) (Did I write that?!)

* Become a real domestic goddess and learn to cook. (I can bake extraordinarily well)!

* Turn 21 again, and actually have a party this time! (Yes! My 22.5th party)!

Ok, so hopes for this year:

* Get full license.

* Get back to the gym and last a whole year this time!

* Master wings (a tap step where you sort of jump and brush your feet out to the side on the floor and back in before you land).

* Get tough with myself and live on a shoestring so I can save for the USA.

* Learn to cook now that I can bake.

* Try and see at least one film a week.

* Learn to sew so I can make my own cute Rockabilly dresses.

And now a movie review:

Enchanted. Went to the late night session with my friend Rach and we had the whole cinema to ourselves - yay! At Chartwell even!

And we LOVED this movie. This is a real kids' film with no adult innuendo at all. So refreshing.

It was however a little scary we both decided and we did jump a couple of times!

But oh so sweet. Amy Adams is just charming as giselle, the fairytale princess who gets pushed down a well by her fiance's evil stepmother and finds herself in New York City.

Lovely songs and costumes and a gorgeous wee girl with a cute toothless grin.

Did not however like the cockroaches. EEEEEWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!! Not cutie cutie!

Susan Sarandon however stole the show as the witch. She also had the best role, with lots of dramatic entrances and exits and some stunning costumes. Very cool.

Some people may say it's too sweet, but I liked it. Made me recall the days where I was as naive and optimistic as Giselle, before discovering that the real world is not a pleasant place to be.

Thouroughly reccommend it. Go see it!

Cary's car! I want it! I want it! I want it! I want it!

Ah well, I got a pretty lovely present from LilyBelle today - she has been rather skittish and wary of me since I got her but today she jumped up on the couch and onto my knee by her own will! Yay!
She is just the cutest thing and I love her to bits. Awwww.

Although, she has led me to believe that my house is haunted.
Now, this may just be a side effect of The Munsters marathon I've been having this last week, but she has started doing the same crazy thing Barnaby (the kitty cat) did when I had him - running madly around the house behind the lounge suite and into the kitchen and around the table!
I know animals are able to sense spirits so maybe I am haunted! I'm not concerned though, nothing sinister at all has happened in the two years since I've been here, so I'm sure it's a friendly ghost!

I hope everyone had a fab Christmas. Mum came over and we just watched tv all day. Did anyone see the Coro St Christmas pantomime? I think that was my favourite part of the day! So if anyone sees it on dvd anywhere, please let me know!
