Stuff

Hello readers,
Very quiet day at work today so what better to do, than blog? Sssshh! Don't tell my boss!

Things in Janine Land have been somewhat peachy lately.
The antidepressants are so far working nicely; only side effects have been a day of terrible nausea and insomnia......but I have always been somewhat of an insomniac, so it's hard to say whether that really is the drug's fault. Am also not feeling like eating very much which is fabulous!

I was supposed to have a couple of weeks of being really down when I first started taking them, but I've actually felt really good from day one. I think it's because I am very proud of myself for doing something about it all. Snaps for me!

I also have got my hot little hands on season 7 of Gilmore Girls - the final season, sniff, sniff - and so have spent all my free time watching it.
Funny story: After weeks of my going into the DVD Shop asking if it had arrived yet, they finally got me to write down my details so that they could hold a copy for me, and when I picked it up the guys flipped for my handwriting. They didn't believe that I could write like that, so they made me write down "The quick brown fox" etc on a bit of scrap paper. It was hilarious!

Am currently looking for a rock 'n' roll partner so that I can compete in the Nationals next year. I went to the junior comps on Easter weekend and decided that it was something I could do. And win. RnR is pretty easy, the easiest dance form I've tried anyway, and I've tried most of them!

Saw The Importance of Being Earnest at Riverlea the other night. It's one of my favourite plays so I couldn't miss it. Was......ok. Standout performances were Gwendolyn and Doctor Chasuble, and was deeply disappointed with Lady Bracknell. She is one of my all time favourite literary characters, and this actress just didn't quite do her justice to me. She also has some of the best lines in the play, and these were just, sort of let go. Ah well.

I think I have really lost my passion for theatre. It just doesn't seem to be doing it for me anymore. I know, I can't believe it myself, but lately I have been wondering whether or not to audition for Chicago - one of my favourite musicals. I think my focus has shifted more to dancing now. I don't know. Maybe it would be good to take a longer break. What's wrong with me?!!!

Well, one thing that's wrong is I am very clucky. More than usual. Everyone seems to be getting engaged and having babies! It's not fair. I want it more than anyone and I'm still a lonely old spinster. Sigh.
Sarah and Dominic came up to work for a visit last night and brought their darling wee daughter with them. She'd be about a month now, and she is just the cutest thing! Fast asleep though, so not too much interaction, just me swooning.

Sigh.

Quick movie review.
Did a print test of Music Within the other morning. Pretty good. Fabulous soundtrack - it's set in the 70s. It's the true story of a guy who lost his hearing in Vietnam and then goes on to fight for the rights of disabled people in America. Quite funny in all it's seriousness and very inspiring.

Does anyone remember Melissa George from her Home and Away days? I think I'll always see her as Angel. I remember Mum and I crying when she died!

As always, if anyone wants to see a movie...or two...or more! let me know. Am wanting to see 2 Days In Paris before it closes, but need some motivation to go! I mean, how many of you spend time at work on your days off?! Exactly.

RIP Charlton Heston 1924 - 2008

Time to say goodbye

So, I've been in love with a man...the perfect man in many ways, for the last year and a half. Turns out he didn't even know it.

However, since I'm now on medication and going to therapy, and trying desperately to get better, it's no good keeping things and people in my life which upset me.
Hence, I've had to walk away.

It hurts. A lot.

Why do I fall in love so easilly?

Just call me the walking pill bottle

Health update: I'm now on Fluoxetine (Prozac). This, along with the psychologist visits I start next week should mean I'll be feeling a heck of a lot better in a few weeks time. But if I am agitated and bitchy these next two to three weeks, blame the medication!

Add this to the Estelle and Spironolactone I'm taking for my PCOS and the possible addition of Metformin once my Prozac induced nausea subsides, and I'm likely to start rattling when I walk!

Am looking forward to starting Metformin though, as this will help me loose weight and help my fertility, which is probably stuffed thanks to the PCOS. Never to late to start getting healthier 'down there' when you're desperate to be a mother like I am!

Speaking of motherhood, LilyBelle reaches new limits of cuteness every day. This morning, I got her a carrot to munch while I was making coffee number one of the day, and when I walked into the lounge to curl up on the couch, wee Miss realised I'd gone, picked up her carrot, and came and sat down next to me so we could have brekkie together!

All together now: AWWWWWW!!!!

(Photos of Belly will be uploaded as soon as I can be bothered. I'm still in the land of dial up, you see).
